It is my mission to inspire students with a love for music, to encourage creativity, and to teach the technical and musical tools for performing in a challenging and encouraging environment. To become a well-rounded musician it is important that students be actively involved in all areas of musical studies. This includes a variety of music literature, theory, history, sight-reading and technique. Weekly assignments are individually tailored to each student to incorporate these different areas.
To make progress on your instrument, consistent practice is essential. Practice should be fun and engaging. Parents can help by giving supportive encouragement, organizing daily practice sessions, keeping practice free from interruptions, listening to the practice occasionally, and checking the assignments. Several short practice sessions are preferable to one long session.
I have experience coaching chamber music ensembles and orchestra sectionals in the US, Mexico, Chile and Venezuela.
